Hand #118 Imagination
while talking with one of my clients on the phone, I suddenly found myself placed on hold for several minutes... taking a magnet from the file cabinet next to my desk, I began to play with it in my hand... imagination gone wild!

Hand #111 Pressure
Our bodies are amazing!
The hands are full of pressure points that can be pressed to stimulate both pleasure and pain.
Started Yoga classes this month. I'm learning about the pressure points in our hands, feet and all through out the body. Here's my art work illustrating the Left Palm Pressure Points.

Hand # 110 The Extra Mile
There's no better place to run than in your own backyard. I run through several busy intersections, always looking up and ahead, yesterday I looked down. I have run this sidewalk time and time again, never seeing this precious little hand print! I was so excited to find it, that I clocked my fastest mile run home ever! (hand is located about a mile from our home) I don't run with my iPhone and there are no parking areas close by this location, so I ventured out for a long walk after lunch to take this photo.... going the extra mile...it was worth it!

Hand #107 World
A rainy Sunday... time to break out the paints...... while creating the world in my hand, I began to reflect on one of my favorite quotes...
"A friend who is far away is sometimes much nearer than one who is at hand. Is not the mountain far more awe-inspiring and more clearly visible to one passing through the valley than to those who inhabit the mountain?" ~ Khalil Gibran

Hand #101 Approval
During this season of elections we see the candidates making this hand sign... thumbs-up, a sign of approval. We have the freedom to agree or disagree and will make our voice known on Election Day.
(as you can see this photo was taken at a movie theatre...walked by a life-size cardboard Will Ferrell promoting his new movie "The Campaign"...could not resist the photo opportunity)

Hand #100 fingers
Today I ran my longest run to date, 20 Miles. It was humid, it was hot, it was challenging, it was a push to the end... the last 3 miles were brutal. Often I found myself focused on my hands & fingers. I kept thinking 2 miles per finger...only 2 miles per finger = 20 miles.... I CAN do it! This thinking kept me focused... today I was thankful not only for my health and well being but for my hands. Filled with JOY as I post on this 100 day of my hand blog.

Hand #98 OUCH!
While opening a package of large heavy weight envelopes, my finger slid along the edge of one of the envelopes. OUCH! Left hand boo boo....resulting in a deep cut with nagging tender pain all day long. A good thing came out of something bad...a spontaneous on the spot hand post for my Blog! (smile)

If you say that someone is keeping their fingers crossed, they mean that they are hoping for good luck. I have been doing a lot of finger crossing watching the Olympics!

Han #96 Lemon
Branches of lemon leaves make beautiful large wreaths. Thought I would try creating a lemon leaf hand. Not only was this difficult, the hand began to take on a life of it's own...as I placed each leaf it would move...so I decided not to fuss and just let them fall where they may

While walking in to the movies we passed a large display for the new James Bond 007 movie. My "SUPER" husband noticed Bond taking aim with both hands and could not resist getting in on the action with his one hand! My HERO!

Hand #94 A-Ok
Photo of my right hand making "The Okay Sign". Here in the US it's a positive gesture, means "A-Ok". Divers use it as a signal to each other "I'm OK", "Are You OK?". Basketball players use this gesture when they score 3 points. In other countries this hand gesture is considered offensive. It has many multiple meanings both positive and negative.

Hand #93 Alstroemeria
My husband picked out flowers for the house today. We enjoy beautiful Alstroemeria blooms because they come in many different colors and usually last about two weeks. As I prepared a vase for them, I had a vision for the petals...
