Yesterday was my last run before the 26.2 mile Marathon in Denver this Saturday, Sept 22nd (my 54th birthday). This last training run was one of closure, reflection and excitement in anticipation of crossing the finish line in celebration of my continued health, life & birthday. I went out for a 4 mile run and took a route through shady, tree lined neighborhood streets..peaceful and quiet except for the occasional dog bark and chirping bird. Look what I found! A HAND! (this is the second "on the run" hand discovery ~ see Hand#110 The Extra Mile)
When I returned home, I hopped in my car, returning to spot to photograph for this Blog. It took me a while to find the hand again and I think a few of the neighbours were peeking out their windows wondering what I was up to. I spied the hand to the left of the first shadow forward, near the gutter, in the photo below. The hand was faint around thumb and palm area, as it appeared to have been there for a long time. This beautiful 'Hand' discovery was the perfect Denver send off ~ made my day!
