Hand # 27 Stillness
The beauty of Glenwood moved me. Established in 1871, this romantic rural cemetery park, full of history, drew me in for a morning stroll. The stillness of these hands touched my soul.

Hand #26 Tracking
Between the trail marker, my Nike+ watch and my five fingers, I'm able to keep track of how many miles I ran.... no miscalculations here!

Hand # 25 Inkspot Family takes to the trails
The Inkspot family enjoyed their adventure in the Texas Hill Country. Pinkie and Pointer were excited to see a Texas Longhorn!
(They were not photoshopped into the picture. I pulled over on the side of the road, took Inkspot family out of the trunk and together we delighted the other motorists at a major intersection and a stop at Dairy Queen. My husband is a good sport!)

Hand # 23 Chains of LOVE
A warehouse concrete floor, chain wall and sunshine created the perfect conditions for my hand heart. Glad to have my husband around to take this photo with my cell phone! LOVE

Hand #21 Sock-it-to-me
My husband is now short one sock.
With one tube sock, recycled eyes from a previous hand project and a red sharpie, my hand took on a life of its own.
I had so much fun with this, I did not want to take the sock off!

Hand #20 Oversized
I enjoyed a yummy and healthy lunch thanks to these Sandwich Artist hands at work. It always amazes me how they make sandwiches with these oversized gloves on their hands.

Hand #17 In Print
Suddenly, as I was about to toss a pile of old magazines, the thought of collage projects we were assigned to do in elementary school came to mind. Enjoyed creating this!

Hand #16 Service
Once a month I volunteer at Feed The Children. On this day we packed 1,000 boxes of food. Can by can, my hand packed 1,000 cans of peas. An honor to put my hands to work and be of service to others.

Hand #13 Marching On
tiny Boxwood's for dinner. It's a lovely intimate restaurant with a beautiful garden court yard. Reminded us of Europe. We were sitting next to a pair of hands... lucky me! Our dinner conversation included the phrase "Hands of Time".... the o'clock minute hand and the o'clock hour hand....oh how they travel round and round...... often far apart and ever so close..... as time marches on

Hand #12 Help
I always pass this business on my way to the grochery store. Their logo took on a new meaning since beginning this 365 Hands Project. I made a quick u-turn to snap a photo. They offer maid services. Any one need a Helping Hand?

Hand #11 Warmth
When we go out to eat I generally order a cup of hot green tea. This evening was no exception. I sat with my hands wrapped around the cup to keep warm. It seems restaurant establishments around here like to have the air conditioner set at Arctic temperatures. Forgetting my sweater, I spent the evening trying to shake my goosebumps!

Hand #10 Remember
How does tying a bow around your finger help you remember things? Tying a bow around your own finger can be a challenge, trust me. I'll stick to writing a list to remember.

Hand #9 Please Wave
As a child, window displays always intrigued me. I would stare and hope the lady in the window would wave to me. Out shopping today I captured a child's hand in mother's hand, so sweet... made me smile and go back in time to the lady in the window of my childhood and also think of my wonderful Mom on this Mother's day.

Hand #8 Peace
While out and about I captured this grooy hand-gesture peace sign.
Growing up in the 60's and 70's , we used this sign often. We deeply understood it's meaning; a symbol of victory, for peace and truth.

Hand #7 No FEAR
While stretching after a long run, I noticed a shadow on the wall behind me. It appeared to be reaching out to encourage me.
Distance - No FEAR! As I train for my first 26.2 marathon in September.

Hand #6 Perfect Fit
I captured this photo at the Car Art preview show. The atrist hard at work placing the final touches on her car. This hand appears so comfortable with a brush in it. I'll bet they have been painting together for years. The perfect fit!

Hand #5 Crayons
Can't remember the last time I traced my hand. I keep crayons in my top desk drawer and gladly pulled them out for this project. I'm laughing! This is strange looking.

Hand #4 Reflection
I enjoyed photographing the reflection of my hand. As I snapped away, I recall being happy,
smiling and squinting as the bright sun reflected off the mirror. Looking at
the photograph now, mixed feelings stir. Words like fractured, and pain comes
to mind. I did cut my finger once, requiring a visit to the emergency room. I
could spend minutes, days, hours, weeks and months over analyzing this photo
searching for some deep meaning. I will simply
smile; enjoy the beautiful blue sky, clouds, and the odd look of my distorted
hand for what it is… ART

Hand #3 Give Me A Push
You can’t help but smile when you see Randy and his Yaris. Randy
created an Art Car and actually drives it every day around Houston Texas. As I
slowly walked around his car covered in bits of glass, art, trinkets, signs and
“stuff” …inspecting every inch…. I spied a hand! Randy was eager to share, the
hand was given to him on a visit to Canada. He had the perfect spot for it,
lower right rear, as if to give the car a push. If you look closely you will
see the Yaris car name.

Hand #2 Praise Him
At church I am moved, joyful and happy...stirred up, as together we sing praise and worship songs.
Psalm 63:4
I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.

Hand #1 My Right
My hand came in to the world on a Monday in September 1958. I am open, helpful, willing and eager to always reach out and lend a hand to others.
