Hand #88 Shush

I had fun playing with my iPhone App Pudding Cam. It's always a challenge taking a photo of myself. Here's a hand expression we all know and have used at one time or another, to ask someone to be quiet or to hush. Generally this expression works well with young children when they are asked to use their "library" voice.

Hand #87 Inksopts Visit Chicago

The Inkspots had fun in Chicago this weekend...traveling from China Town to the Magnificent Mile and all sights in between....  Pointer and Pinkie's favorite attraction was visiting the "Bean" at Millennium Park and riding on the train. Mrs Inkspot had the family pose in their hotel room window with lovely view of city below and with the flowers in the hotel lobby.

(yes... we received odd looks as we walked the streets of Chicago with the Inkspots taking many photos....so many, it was hard to select for the collage! We could hear parents telling their children "oh look, that's a hand.... a finger family... isn't that cute!")

Hand #85 Chicago

We're having fun in Chicago.... so many hands...so little time! Could not help taking a photo of a sign with no hands. Clocks are on every corner, making hands of time fitting for this collage. Enjoyed a yummy real Root Beer at Berghoffs. The fancy dressed up hand was taken at the Drake Hotel... lovely.... I want to stay there on our next visit.

Hand 82 Inkspots Vacation in Florida

Mr. and Mrs. Inkspot, Pointer and Pinkie traveled to Florida in a tightly packed suitcase. Their travels took them to Daytona, where they toured Daytona International Speedway. Next stop was Ocala. At the urging of Mrs Inkspot and Pinkie, they spent time in a souvenir shop taking family photos by the metal yard art (Rooster, Green T-Rex, Sun Flowers, Elephant). Pointer liked the T-Rex and Pinkie LOVED the elephant! Last stop Jacksonville where they enjoyed the beach. While driving along Beach Blvd Pointer spied another T-Rex (orange) and insisted on having his picture taken with it!

Hand #81 Merlin

little bird.....a Gift for my friend Patricia, in memory of her pet bird, Merlin. I adored Merlin and always greeted him when I entered her home. Patricia's kitchen wallpaper made a nice backdrop for this photo.... bird in my hand

Did you know? A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.....This proverb refers back to medieval falconry where a bird in the hand (the falcon) was a valuable asset and certainly worth more than two in the bush (the prey).

Hand #72 Magnesium Sulfate

After a long run I enjoy a nice... long.... relaxing..... soak in the tub with Epsom Salt. This Magnesium helps to soothe sore muscles...it helps the muscles relax and "unbind" after a long run.... also relieves stress, making for a great nights sleep! I had fun dressing this Magnesium Sulfate hand up with a ring and watch.

Hand #71 Sister Sock It To Me

Two eyes, the other sock from Hand #21 "Sock It To Me" and a few every day items made this hand puppet come to life. She appears to be a mischievous one, wouldn't you agree?

Hand #67 Jackpot

I passed by this nail salon walking through the mall..... WOW.... felt like I hit the "hand" jackpot! I don't frequent nail salons, so have no idea if this is a normal sighting or not. This display sure got my attention. I never knew there were so many ways to get your nails styled and colored.

Hand #66 Creation Outside

This is Hand #53 Creation... Outside ...keeping with my love of the outdoors, putting the paint brush to hand...flowers appeared with a couple of ladybugs.

Flowers don't worry about how they're going to bloom. They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful.

Hand #65 Inkspot's Sunday-Best

Mr and Mrs Inkspot put on their Sunday best and brought Pinkie and Pointer to Lakewood Church. Quickly, as instructed by Mrs Inkspot, everyone hopped out of the car for a family photo before the storm began. Wouldn't you know...just as the photo was being taken, a big gust of wind came and blew off Pointer's shirt. He was not too upset, as his favorite ball cap stayed on, which was more important to him.

Hand #64 Creation Inside

This is Hand #53, Creation.... inside
Without too much thought....I began to paint.... the end result made me smile

If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy,
if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you,
if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand,
rejoice, for your soul is alive.
