Play Ball! My husband and I enjoy attending the Astro games here in Houston. We see many little girls sporting these Wilson's on their hand at the games. Yes, today you can buy pink for a girl and blue for a boy. Back in the day, a brown leather glove simply had to do.

Hand #56 Life-Like

snapped a picture of a babydoll hand in mine.......Today's dolls amaze me. Crafted with such detail, some are so life-like.......they cry, eat and fill the diaper.... this little one likes to suck her thumb

Hand #55 Powerhouse

Time for my mid-morning snack,  a hand full of almonds. In a hurry, I reached into the 3 pound bag and tipped it over. There was only one thing to do... make a hand! I love almonds....nature's nutrient powerhouse!

Hand #54 Highspeed

Today I went to the dentist. Having worked in the field of dentistry for over 30 years you would think it's no big deal for me. However, I'm just like the rest of you, I don't like sitting in the dental chair! Today I had a crown done. The dentist used this Fast-Cutting Highspeed "Hand"piece and Slow-Speed "Hand"piece to prep my tooth. Took this picture while waiting to get numb. My dentist is AWESOME... I didn't feel a thing!

Hand #53 Creation

A first for me.....yes, I did read the directions, still made a BIG mess! Working with this material was harder that it looks. Here's stage 1 of the "hand".

Hand #52 Wall

I enjoy sitting close to the water feature at the pool, listen to the sounds of the water fountain and falls...so relaxing. I gingerly walked in the pool over to the falls with my iPhone to get this shot, my hand behind wall of water. I was petrified I would drop the phone in the pool! In need of a waterproof cell phone case from my friend Michelle in Jacksonville, Florida before I do this again!  

Hand # 51 Inkspots Around Town

The Inkspot family enjoying the surroundings around Houston this weekend. Mr. Inkspot and Pointer had to grab a bite to eat at the food truck, Eatsie Boys in Montross. Pinkie giggled with delight when she spotted the blue palm tree, located near the Rice University jogging trail. Mrs. Pointer thought it would make a great family photo, ordering everyone out of the car for the "Kodak" moment.  

(my husband is a good sport... to be carrying around my hand and posing it, the Inkspots, so I can take the picture. We are having fun with this adventure!)

Hand # 50 Shells

Purchased these shells to place around my cactus plant... first priority to create this hand.....  a glove for Lady GaGa, what do you think?

Hand #49 Oil

I have no idea why... but..... I sprayed my hand with oil and slapped it on the refrigerator, resulting in one greasy mess to clean up! I did manage to get a cool hand picture, don't you think? 

Hand #48 Grip

Twice a week I rise early and head to the gym for upper body workout. I always wear training gloves to protect my hands and have a secure grip. I haven't dropped one yet!

Hand #46 Beads

This colorful little girl was waiting patiently in line with her mom, as she played with her beads to pass the time. Her precious small hand made me smile and think of my own daughter, who's all grown up now. Closing my eyes...going back in time.....I see my daughters sweet smile, hear her voice and feel her small hand in mine.

Hand #44 Light-Up

This takes me back to May 1983. My son was given an ET stuffed toy as a baby gift. The toy was so strange looking it was cute. Especially when placed next to a newborn baby! The Extra-Terrestrial.....this has to be one of the most famous hands of all time. Did you know there's now a replica E.T. Hand with light-up finger? I found this while shopping at a local toy store.  

Hand # 43 Doctor

Apple a day keeps the doctor away.... could have used a hand surgeon to help me with my carving (smile) I used a vegetable peeler. I need some practice with the art of carving... do you see a hand? oh well, the apple was delicious.

Hand # 42 Tools

While emptying the dishwasher, I had 5 "tools" (as my husband calls them) in my hand...ummm... a hand appeared before my eyes

Hand #41 Lunch

traced my hand on a little brown bag... pulled out the crayons from my desk drawer to add color.... created a designer lunch "hand" bag for my next meeting on the go.

Hand #40 Soft

Found an old bag of white flour in the pantry, perfect for a hand art project, prior to tossing in the trash. I don't bake and have not used white flour in over 18 months. I enjoyed making a mess with this cool, soft substance. 

Hand #39 Bow-Wow

While waiting on our dinner order to arrive, a shadow on the wall next to me grabbed my attention. I began to play. Not sure what this is....could it be a dog?  My first try at hand shadow animal creation. 

Hand #38 Rock

The large black rock is from Bali, a gift from my son. The other rocks I took out of a vase I have in the bathroom... ta-da!

Hand #37 Inkspots Roll

This is how they roll... traveling Highway 45 between Houston and Dallas the Inkspot family stopped along the way for tasty peach pie and Bar-B-Q.

Hand #36 Inkspots Meet Sam

On their journey to Dallas from Houston on Highway 45, the Inkspot family stopped in the town of Huntsville Texas to see the Sam Houston Statue up close and personal. This monument is is 67 feet high and the  world's tallest statue of an American Hero. Pinkie and Pointer were amazed at his big hands!

Hand #35 Bubbles

one rubber glove found under the kitchen sink, added cute eyes, and used a sharpie for the lips. As I slipped in my right hand Bubbles came to life.

Bubbles took the afternoon off today. She just wanted to hang~out and chill.

The Inkspot family stopped for ice cream in the park. A waterfall created the perfect backdrop for a photo. 

Hand #33 Warmth

While standing in a parking lot with my husband, I found myself creating hand hearts for him. The warmth of the sun.... the warmth in my heart....

Hand #32 Crossing

This red/orange hand stopped me in my tracks just as I was about to run across the street. As thunder rolled in and the sky was about to open with a heavy rainfall, I simply stood there and smiled. To my delight I found a hand!

As a kid, I remember finding Finger Traps in birthday party favor bags. This toy certainly has my fingers stuck... they're angry...... YIKES!

Hand #30 His Love

We look forward to church each week. Generally my husband is singing in the chior, but on this day he is sitting with me. God's peace and comfort surrounds us and His Love fills us up.

A trip down memory lane while shopping at a toy store this week. In the 70's I watched the Incredible Hulk TV show with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno. Today you can buy Hulk hands of POWER! WOW!

Hand #28 Sticky

I discovered when working with leftover thin pasta, there's no time to play around creating. It's sticky, and takes on a life of it's own, so you have to work fast.
